The Country Club of Decatur golf course designed by one of the most prolific course designers in the early 20th Century, Tom Bendelow, is challenging and beautiful. The course layout will accommodate all levels of golfers from the junior to senior and beginner to advanced. Our premier practice facility includes a Zoysia grass range with realistic target greens, a complete short game area for chipping, pitching and sand play, and an 8,500 square foot putting green. The agronomic team led by our GCSAA Golf Course Superintendent is dedicated to keeping the grounds in pristine condition. Our award-winning PGA Golf Professionals offer lessons for all ages, and the golf shop carries CCD apparel and all the top brand name equipment. If we don’t have an item in stock, our Head Golf Professional can special order just about anything from our vendor partners to satisfy your golfing needs.
The Club offers several dining areas to satisfy the needs of its membership including our newly renovated Grill Room. You can dine in one of the three dining rooms, lounges, or outdoor settings. The beautiful patio and newly constructed wrap-around deck offer scenic views overlooking the pool, golf course and Lake Decatur. Our Executive Chef offers a wide assortment of artfully prepared entrees and hors d’oeuvres ranging from the casual burger and fries to extravagant dinner entrees. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring the highest standard of hospitality; the Country Club of Decatur offers unique facilities, excellent service, and exquisite cuisine. Throughout the year, CCD hosts several events such as Easter Brunch with the Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt, Mother’s Day Brunch, 4th of July Fireworks Party and Halloween Fall Festival, just to name a few. Additionally, every Sunday CCD offers an all you can eat brunch that includes a selection of salads, made to order omelets, numerous hot breakfast and lunch items and a variety of desserts. Our beautiful Clubhouse and grounds provide the perfect setting for a wedding, reception, bridal or baby shower, anniversary, birthday or graduation party, and business meetings. From our Event and Catering Manager to our service staff, we are prepared to handle all the details of your next celebration or event. From setup to cleanup, we will ensure that all of your needs and the needs of your guests are met with the highest level of service and utmost professionalism. The tennis program focuses on both adult and junior players, with clinics, private lessons and tournaments. Our dedicated Tennis Professionals provide a regimented program with fun and learning as the main goals. The opportunity for more competitive play is always prevalent as well. CCD features two lighted, newly constructed professional grade tennis and two pickleball courts. Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It is a fun recreational activity the entire family can play together.
The swimming pool at CCD is one of the finest in the area and is open from Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day. Features include 8 lap lanes for the more serious swimmer, a 1- meter board in the diving well, and 2 smaller pools, one for the infants and the other for young children. Our snack shop adjacent to the pool offers indoor and outdoor dining including poolside food and beverage service. Our goal is to make our pool the perfect getaway spot for our members during the summer; a place where you can unwind, relax, read your favorite book, enjoy the refreshing water, catch a few rays or just spend some time socializing and making new friends. Our full-service bar serves up the best in poolside cocktails. CCD has one of the top youth swim and dive team programs with six competitive meets in the CICCA Conference. We also offer technique-based swim lessons and clinics for member’s children at all levels of experience. Members and their families enjoy the many Club parties or host their own during the summer on the expansive pool deck.
As a member of the Central Illinois Country Club Association (CICCA), our members enjoy reciprocal privileges at seven other premier Central Illinois Clubs. The CICCA is the second oldest of such organizations in the country.
