Red Tail Run Golf Club

If you haven't played Red Tail Run Golf Club in Decatur you need to put it on your calendar, and bring your buddies. It's hard to believe this course is only 10 years old. When I played last week the fairways were a deep green and beautiful. From tee to green this course was in outstanding condition considering all the rain it's taken. Bunkers are present and placed strategically but not unfair. The native Prairie grass that lines most fairways is lush and green but will turn golden over the summer and fall. It really frames the course nicely. No hole is alike and there is plenty of risk/reward available. The folks inside from front counter to grill room could not have been nicer. I always grab a bag of fresh popcorn. I love to play Red Tail. If you are like most golfers, always looking for new courses to play, Red Tail Run Golf Club is a sure bet. Great value, great layout, great hospitality.
