David Marr III and Steve Scott - the 1999 Western Amateur champion - will call the action, and five-time PGA TOUR winner Mark Wilson will provide on-course reporting.

"We're looking forward to providing golf fans with a professional, broadcast-quality production that will showcase the skills of our field of top amateur golfers," said Vince Pellegrino, WGA senior vice president of tournaments. "We're thankful to our partners at BMW and Peter Millar for helping bring the Western Amateur to a broader audience."

The championship is returning to the site of the first Western Amateur in 1899, as Glen View Club will host from July 26-31. Competition includes 18-hole stroke play rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday followed by a cut to the players with the low 44 scores and ties. Those who make the cut play 36 holes of stroke play on Thursday, with the low 16 advancing to match play.

Founded in 1899, the Western Amateur is the world's third-oldest amateur championship behind the British Amateur (1885) and the U.S. Amateur (1895). It regularly attracts the top amateur players from across the country and around the world. Past champions include Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods.

The 2021 Western Amateur will feature one of the strongest fields ever, led by defending champion Pierceson Coody, the No. 2-ranked amateur in the world. An All-American from Texas and a member of the 2021 U.S. Walker Cup team, Coody won the 2020 Western Amateur at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana.
Coody is one of three former Western Amateur champions in the field. Cole Hammer, Coody's teammate at Texas and in the Walker Cup, won the 2018 Western Amateur at Sunset Ridge Country Club in Northfield, Illinois. Garrett Rank won the 2019 event at Point O' Woods Golf & Country Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

The field also includes U.S. Walker Cup team members Ricky Castillo (Florida), William Mouw (Pepperdine) and Steward Hagestad; First Team All-Americans Noah Goodwin (SMU) and Peter Fountain (North Carolina); First Team All-SEC pick Sam Bennett (Texas A&M), the No. 7-ranked amateur in the world; and international standouts Puwit Anupansuebsai (Thailand), Bo Jin (China) and Yuxin Lin (China).
